Emma Manners, the Duchess of Rutland

Listen to @duchessthepodcast (Ep5/S3)

This week, Emma Manners, the Duchess of Rutland, meets our remarkable Virginia Grant.

In this episode, the Duchess learns about the perfect architectural symmetry of Kingston Bagpuize House; is taken on a tour through the rare fauna on the Estate, and Virginia reveals what it’s really like to have Maggie Smith in your home.

At the helm of the Estate today is Virginia, who cares for the House with such passion and determination; and talks about the challenges she has encountered, and how her legal training has helped her to run a historic home.

Visitors to Kingston Bagpuize House often comment on the welcoming atmosphere when they walk into the Entrance Hall and observe that it’s clearly a home and not a museum.  Admired by many over the last 300 years, I hope that you experience the same delight as previous generations have on entering this elegant house which continues to be a special and much loved family home.

Set in the Vale of The White Horse and surrounded by its beautiful garden and parkland, Kingston Bagpuize House, in addition to being open for the public to visit, is also a perfect and exclusive venue for wedding celebrations, corporate functions and filming.

Our hope is that every visitor leaves with happy memories and the wish to return in the future.
